The Group Exercise Coordinator is responsible for creating a friendly, helpful, positive atmosphere for members participating in group exercise classes at the South Meridian Branch of the Treasure Valley YMCA. The Group Exercise Coordinator will be responsible for the recruiting, hiring, training, and development of all Group Exercise instructors in the branch as well as monitoring Group Exercise participant attendance metrics to ensure the quality and ongoing growth of the program.
Starting Wage Range: $12.83 - $16.04
Proposed Starting Date: March 1, 2018
Date of Interviews: February 5-16, 2018
Key Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in a health and fitness related field or equivalent experience. Nationally recognized (AFFA, ACSM, ACE, YMCA Foundations of Group Exercise, etc.) Group Exercise certification required, as this position requires the Coordinator to lead group exercise classes when necessary. Prior experience with staff supervision, volunteer supervision, and budget management preferred. Supervisory experience preferred. Must be CPR certified or have the ability to become CPR certified within 45 days of hire date.
The ideal candidate will exude passion for the Y-Movement, community engagement and leadership development.  We are looking for someone that has the ability to foster growth as an aspirational leader in the branch, association, and overall community.
Additional Requirements:

This is a full-time position. Schedule will vary and will be dependent upon member, department, and branch need. A portion of the scheduled hours will include instructing group exercise classes. Applicants must have flexible availability and be adaptable to change.
Must be able to work in a loud environment. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lead for extended period of time.  Must have the ability to lift up to 25 pounds in weight.
