Dive Instructor – West – Aquatics

The Dive Instructor is responsible for teaching basic to advanced diving skills to all levels of participants ages 5-18.  The Dive Instructor will instruct and observing all participants in proper development and techniques while maintaining high levels of safety and customer service for all and provide focused instruction within USA Diving and Treasure Valley Family YMCA Guidelines. Must be able to model and teach the YMCA Core Values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility.

Starting Wage Range:
$9.66 - $12.08

Proposed Starting Date:
April 2, 2018

Key Qualifications:
Must be at least 16 years old with prior competitive diving or gymnastics experience. USA Dive Coach certification and coaching experience is preferred. Additional preferred certifications are Y Swim Instructor and Lifeguard. Must have current CPR/AED certification or ability to obtain within 45 days of hire.

Additional Requirements:
This is a part-time position. Typical schedule will include Monday/Wednesday/Friday or Tuesday/Thursday 4:00pm-8:00pm. Summer hours will be Moonday-Friday 11:00am-3:00pm. Hours may vary dependent upon participant and department needs.
Must have the ability to work in hot, humid, and loud environments for extended periods of time.  Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
