Opened on May 25, 2018, the South Meridian Branch of the Treasure Valley YMCA is unlike any other in the country. Our  brand-new 60,000-square-foot facility is part of a unique collaboration that combines family recreation, education, sports, literacy, and wellness care on a single campus called “The Hill.” Hand in hand with our partners—St. Luke’s Health System, the West Ada School District, and the City of Meridian—the South Meridian Family Y will help us build A BETTER US.
The Program Coordinator assists in the implementation of high quality youth programs including staffing, training, volunteer recruitment, and customer service. The Coordinator will ensure that program delivery meets the wants, needs, and interests of participants, parents, volunteers, and the community.
This position is in the Youth Sports Department. YMCA Youth Sports programs offer a wide variety of activities that center around helping kids of all ages and abilities keep their mind and body active and grow a love for play and recreation.
Starting Wage Range:
$12.96 – $16.20

Key Qualifications:
Must have experience with customer service, communicating effectively with others, working with volunteers, and youth development. Sports background not required. Experience creating/building curriculum, conflict management, staff/volunteer development, and program development is a plus.  Candidate must show competence within Microsoft Windows and Office Suite and an ability to learn new software programs.
Physical Requirements:
Job requires ability to walk, stand, sit (including on the floor), bend, lean, and kneel. Must have the ability to lift and carry supplies weighing up to 30lbs. Must be able to meet YMCA driving requirements.
Schedule Requirements:
This is a full-time position at 40 hours per week. Most youth sports programming occurs weekday evenings and/or Saturdays. Candidates should anticipate working Saturdays on a rotating basis.
