Opened on May 25, 2018, the South Meridian Branch of the Treasure Valley YMCA is unlike any other in the country. Our  brand-new 60,000-square-foot facility is part of a unique collaboration that combines family recreation, education, sports, literacy, and wellness care on a single campus called “The Hill.” Hand in hand with our partners—St. Luke’s Health System, the West Ada School District, and the City of Meridian—the South Meridian Family Y will help us build A BETTER US.
YMCA Youth Sports programs offer a wide variety of activities that center around helping kids of all ages and abilities keep their mind and body active and grow a love for play and recreation.
The Sports Coordinator assists in the implementation of high quality youth sports programs including curriculum development, organization of specialty camps, and training of officials. The Coordinator will ensure program delivery meets the wants, needs, and interests of participants, parents, volunteers, and the community. Programs include basketball, soccer, football, volleyball, lacrosse, and more.  Ideal candidates will have an understanding of and passion for sports including rules, trends, and other technical aspects.
Starting Wage Range:
$12.96 – $16.20

Key Qualifications:
Must have understanding and passion for sports, customer service, communicating effectively with others, working with volunteers, and youth development. Experience creating/building curriculum, conflict management, staff/volunteer development, and program development preferred. Candidate must show competence within Microsoft Windows and Office Suite and an ability to learn new software programs.
Physical Requirements:
Job requires ability to walk, stand, sit (including on the floor), bend, lean, and kneel. Must have the ability to lift and carry supplies weighing up to 30lbs. Must be able to meet YMCA driving requirements.
Schedule Requirements:
This is a full-time position. 40 hours per week is preferred, but will consider part-time (20-25 hrs per week) week for the right candidate.  Most youth sports programming occurs weekday evenings and/or Saturdays. Candidates should anticipate working Saturdays on a rotating basis.
