Youth Director – South Meridian

Through sports, fitness, arts, education, leadership, and camp programs, Treasure Valley Family YMCA helps youth develop values, improve skills, and build healthy relationships. The Youth Director is responsible for managing and developing new and existing programs within the Youth Department to meet the needs of the community and fulfill YMCA objectives. The Youth Director recruits, hires, trains, develops, schedules, and directs personnel and volunteers, as well as develops strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals.
 
Starting Wage Range:
 
$32,988 - $41,309

Key Qualifications:






 
Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Education, or similar. Equivalent experience in youth development may be considered in lieu of degree. Experience in curriculum design, conflict-management, staff/volunteer development, managing an operating budget, and program development required.  Candidate must show competence within Microsoft Windows and Office Suite and an overall ability to learn new software programs. Current CPR certification or ability to obtain certification within 45 days of hire is required.

This is a full-time position. Typical hours will be Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.  Some evening and weekend hours will be required to meet the needs of our members, donors, and volunteers.
 
Must have ability to stand or sit maintaining alertness for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry supplies weighing up to 25 lbs. Must be able to view data on a computer for extended periods of time.
