Health and Wellbeing Director – South Meridian

Y facilities and equipment, programs, and caring, qualified staff provide the support needed to engage people in their journey to a healthier tomorrow. The Health and Wellbeing Director is responsible for administering the total operation of the Health and Wellbeing (Fitness) department within the South Meridian Branch of the Treasure Valley Family YMCA, ensuring excellent member and participant service, program development and delivery, staff and volunteer development, and financial development within the department.
 
Starting Wage Range:
 
$32,988 - $41,309

Key Qualifications:















 
Bachelor's degree in health and fitness related field or equivalent experience preferred. Minimum three years of experience in related field. Current national certification with ACSM or NASM or other national fitness certification preferred. Preferred experience as a group exercise instructor in multiple class formats.Background must include strong skills in human relations, budgeting and fiscal management, financial development, health and well-being management, and staff and volunteer management. Excellent human relation skills and an ability to maintain positive communication with staff and members. Ability to address and make solid decisions in emergency situations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including telephone etiquette and computer use. Prior experience of successful supervision of staff and volunteers preferred. Must be able to meet YMCA transportation requirements.

This is a full-time, exempt position.
