Counselors – Before and After School Programs
 
Treasure Valley YMCA is hiring counselors providers to work in our Before and After School programs in both Boise and Meridian. No late-nights or weekends!  Please be specific about availability and desired hours on application.

YMCA Childcare providers are responsible for providing a high quality, developmentally appropriate experience for the children in the program. They will oversee the program curriculum and environment to meet the needs of the children and families. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for early childhood education. Must have the ability to build genuine relationships with participants maintain a welcoming environment with a diverse population. YMCA Child Development Teachers are expected to model and teach the Y core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility.
 
Starting Wage Range: $8.77- $11.00, DOE

Key Qualifications:






 
Must be 16 years of age and older. Must have or be willing to obtain a Boise City Child Care license upon hire. One year of experience with K- 6th grade preferred.  The ideal candidate will demonstrate knowledge and experience in developing and implementing daily lesson plans and creating an environment to meet the cognitive, social, emotional and physical needs of the kids. Applicants must be able to build warm and supportive relationships with children, families, and staff in the program.
 
Additional Requirements:




 
We have Part-Time and Full-Time positions available. A variety of shifts are available within the operating ours of Monday-Friday, 6:00AM-6:30PM.
 
Must have the ability to lift at least 50 lbs. Must have ability to walk, stand, and sit (including on the floor) for extended periods of time. Position may include kneeling, bending, and crouching.
