Group Exercise Instructor - Caldwell
 
The Caldwell YMCA opened its doors on October 27, 2005. Since that time it has become a hallmark of the community, impacting the lives of thousands of kids and families. Facility amenities include a large cardio and weight floor, full-court basketball gym, three fitness studios, and a state of the art aquatics center including a lap-pool, splash pad, pretzel slide, and lazy-river. 
 
Treasure Valley YMCA offers our members a wide variety of group exercise classes designed to keep participants get fit, stay healthy, and create lasting friendships.  We offer High Fitness, TRX, Zumba, Barre, Yoga, MOSSA classes, and more.
 
Group Exercise Instructors are responsible for creating a safe, friendly, and helpful community environment for members participating in group exercise classes.
 
Starting Wage Range:
$13.36 - $16.71
 
Key Qualifications:
Must have Group Exercise certification (AFFA, ACSM ACE, YMCA Foundations of Group exercise) and current CPR/AED certification.  Must have the ability to engage others in conversation and make all participants feel welcome. Must be able to respond calmly and quickly to safety and emergency situations. Must have good interpersonal and communications skills and be sensitive, adaptable, professional, and articulate when dealing with others.
 
Physical Requirements:
Applicant must have visual and auditory ability to respond to critical situations and physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency. Must be able to work in a loud environment. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lead for extended period.  Must have the ability to lift up to 25 pounds in weight. Must have physical ability to lead a group exercise class in the applicable format.
 
Schedule Requirements:
This is a part-time position. Classes are offered at a variety of times throughout the week. Please be specific about your availability in your application.
