Welcome Center Staff - South Meridian
 
Opening on May 25, 2018, the South Meridian Branch of the Treasure Valley YMCA is unlike any other in the country. Our brand-new 60,000-square-foot facility is part of a unique collaboration that combines family recreation, education, sports, literacy, and wellness care on a single campus called “The Hill.” Hand in hand with our partners—St. Luke’s Health System, the West Ada School District, and the City of Meridian—the South Meridian Family Y will help us build A BETTER US.
 
Welcome Center Staff serves as the primary point of contact for all information inquiries, maintains secure use of the facility, and processes transactions involving program registration and receipt of registration fees. An ideal candidate will have the ability and desire to by engage both members and the general public, ensuring that their needs are met upon entering the facility.
 
Starting Wage Range:
$8.58 - $9.50
 
Key Qualifications:
Must be at least 16 years old.  Must have current CPR certification or ability to obtain within 45 days. This position requires high energy, positive attitude when welcoming and helping members along with effective writing and phone communication skills. Customer service and cash handling experience preferred.
 
Physical Requirements:
Applicant must have visual and auditory ability to respond to critical situations and physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency. Must have ability to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry food and supplies weighing up to 25 pounds. Position may require bending, leaning, kneeling, and walking.
 
Schedule Requirements:
This is a part time position at approximately 16-20 hours per week. Typical schedule will include Tuesday 12:30pm-6:00pm, Thursday 8:30am-12:30pm, and Saturday 8:00am-12:00pm.  Applicants must be able to attend meetings and training which may fall outside of regular hours.
