Barista – Downtown Boise
The Downtown Boise YMCA opened its doors in 1964 and has since been a landmark in the Downtown Boise area. We currently help over 15,000 active youth, adult, and family members lead a healthier, happier life.
Coffee Bar Baristas are responsible for the daily functions of the coffee bar, including providing excellent customer service in a professional and courteous manner, keeping coffee bar neat, clean, and stocked in compliance with health and safety standards, making drinks according to company and patron standards, and Collect payments from customers and reconciling daily receipts.
Starting Wage Range:
$9.09 - $9.50
Key Qualifications:
Candidates must be at least 18 years old and CPR certification must be obtained within 45 days of hire. Previous barista experience is preferred but not required. Candidates must be able to handle cash, use basic math skills, and follow detailed instructions. The ability to build positive relationships through front-line customer service skills is essential. The ideal candidate will be responsible, possess excellent listening and communication skills, and demonstrate emotional maturity. 
Physical Requirements:
Candidates must be able to stand for extended periods of time; crouch, reach, and bend; lift up to 30 lbs.
Schedule Requirements:
This is a part-time position. Available shifts include Monday/Wednesday/Thursday 2:00-6:30pm. Must be able to attend meetings and training outside of work shifts. Sub shifts will be available if interested in working additional hours.
