JOB OPENING ANNOUNCEMENT
Lifeguard  - All Branches
 
Lifeguards are responsible for ensuring the safety of members and participants in and around aquatics facilities and prevents potential accidents by ensuring adherence to policies and program standards of the Treasure Valley Family YMCA.
 
Starting Wage Range: $8.49 +, DOE
Proposed Starting Date: ASAP
Date of Interviews: Ongoing
Key Qualifications:








 
Certification classes are available!
 
Candidates must be 16 years or older and have Lifeguard, First Aid, CPR, and Administering Emergency Oxygen Certifications prior to first day of employment. The ideal candidate will be punctual, responsive, and vigilant. Candidates must possess the ability to articulate and enforce YMCA policies in a positive way and be able to engage strangers in conversations and create an inclusive, welcoming environment for a diverse group of individuals.
 
Additional Requirements:





 
We have a variety of full and part-time shifts available, and will work around other school and work schedules for the right candidate. If you do not have all of the above mentioned certifications, training courses pre-hire will be available.
 
Must have ability to work in humid environment. Must also have physical ability to complete all lifeguard certification requirements.
