JOB OPENING ANNOUNCEMENT
Swim Instructor – All Branches
                                                            
YMCA Swim Instructors are responsible for teaching basic swimming skills to beginners and instructing and observing all participants in proper stroke development and techniques while maintaining high levels of safety and customer service for all. Must be able to work autonomously within the Y Core
values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.
 
Starting Wage Range: $9.57 -$11.96 DOE
Proposed Starting Date: ASAP
Key Qualifications:





 
Must be a minimum of 16 years old and be certified in WSI or YSI.  We have certification classes available. Knowledge of pool safety procedures is preferred.  We are looking for candidates with  excellent customer service and communication skills, and someone that will join the aquatics team in being responsible for the safety and maintenance of the aquatics center.
 
Additional Requirements:





 
This position is part-time with morning and afternoon shifts available. Typical shifts are Monday-Thursday 9:00AM to 2:00PM or Monday-Thursday 3:30PM-7:30PM. 

Must be able to work in hot, loud, humid, environments for extended periods of time. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
